Punjab Congress would organise annual political conference on Shaheedi Jor Mela at Fatehgarh Sahib on December 26.
The announcement was made by the State Pradesh Congress Committee (SPCC) president Partap Singh Bajwa on Thursday after presiding over a meeting of the organising committee constituted for this purpose at Punjab Congress Bhawan.
During the meeting, the arrangements for the political conference were reviewed in the meeting. Bajwa stressed that Congress party would highlight the achievements of UPA Government at the Center and the failures of the SAD-BJP Government in Punjab.
He said that defeat of Congress party in some States was a temporary setback and in the 2014 lok Sabha elections, Congress would come victorious. “In Punjab, Congress will win all the 13 seats,” he added.
Bajwa also assigned duties to the Congress leaders for the success of the conference. The party MlAs and other leaders in constituencies of Fatehgarh Sahib, Amloh, Khanna, Samrala, Payal, Mohali, Kharar, Rajpura, Dera Bassi and Nabha were asked to mobilise party workers.
