'Cong to come to power in Himachal again'

Addressing a series of public meetings in the district, Himachal Health and Revenue Minister, Thakur Kaul Singh claimed on Monday that Congress was poised to come to power again in the forthcoming elections scheduled in 2017 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not fulfilled any of the promises made by him during the four election rallies in different parts of the State.

He lamented the rail network in the State had not been expanded despite repeated pressure exerted by the two main political parties Congress and the BJP even in the wake of the fact that the Chinese high-speed rail network has touched the door-step of Himachal Pradesh. It seemed that the Pak-Chinese unholy friendship could pose a serious threat to the security of the country. He said without doing anything worthwhile for the backward State some central Ministers had recently increased their visits to the State and were making tall promises.

Kaul Singh said people who had returned all the four Parliamentary seats to BJP in the 2012 elections were not going to be fooled again. “let the BJP leaders of Centre and State go through the promises made by Modi during his four rallies and abandon the hope of coming to power,” he warned.
