Predicting doom for Congress-led UPA Government, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Monday said that the party has “no political future” in the country and time has come when it will die its own political death.
“This so-called Government of aam aadmi (common man) did nothing for common masses and constantly ignored nation as well as interests of general public so that’s why it has been routed out from various states including national capital — the so-called political castle of this anti-people party. Now, it would have to face the wrath of countrymen in ensuing general elections,” he said.
Talking to mediapersons after inaugurating Sewerage Treatment Plant worth Rs12 crore and laying foundation stone for upgradation of Mansa Bus Stand at total cost of Rs50 lakh, Sukhbir said that now the magic of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will completely rout the Congress from national politics.
He said: “This incumbent Government has put an indelible scar of ‘scams, corruption, inflation, poverty and unemployment, for those countrymen who would never spare this anti-people Government in ensuing elections. The NDA will bring back the lost image of country after taking reins of power besides taking people-centric initiatives to make India one of the top prosper nation.”
Earlier presiding over a Sangat Darshan programme, Sukhbir, along with his wife and local MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, announced that by mid-January, all 21 municipal wards of Mansa city would get 100 per cent sewerage system.
