A 20 year-old student, who allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison in his residence, died in a city hospital on Tuesday. The suicide note recovered indicates jilted love affair behind the incident.
The deceased, Manoj Kumar, was a college dropout and recently joined English classes in Chandigarh. On Monday, Manoj was found lying unconscious in his residence and was rushed to a city hospital where he died on Tuesday.
During the course of investigation into the matter, police have found a suicide note in which the deceased has blamed three persons including a girl. The victim has stated that the trio, Sangram, Neeraj and Sangita Devi abetted him for suicide. The police have taken his mobile phone and are yet to contact the three persons named in the note.
Anjitha Chapyala, DSP, UT police, said that the investigations in the case are on. We are verifying the contents of the suicide note and efforts are on to get in touch with the persons mentioned in the note.
