Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Thursday expressed sorrow and grief over the demise of Rocky, BSF Constable, who attained martyrdom in the line of duty while preventing the militants entering into a BSF bus near Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
The 25-year-old brave heart Rocky belonged to Ramgarh Majra village in Haryana's Yamunanagardistrict.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said the BSF bus was attacked by a militant who fired at the bus indiscriminately after coming near it, with the intention of getting inside the bus and Rocky retaliated instantly and killed the militant on the spot.
This valiant action of Rocky prevented the entry of militant in the BSF bus and their further intention to cause causalities to BSF personnel inside the bus. Rocky sustained bullet injuries in this gun battle and succumbed to injuries subsequently.
