Former Chief Minister and Amritsar MP Capt Amarinder Singh on Tuesday asked the newly-appointed Union Minister for Finance and Defence Arun Jaitley to clarify his stand on the spate of fake cases being registered against the Congress workers across Amritsar parliamentary constituency “in sheer vengeance and vindictiveness as they did not vote for him”. “So far as I knew Jaitley, he was sure that he will not stoop so low to resort to vindictiveness and vendetta against those who did not vote for him.
But unfortunately, this is being done in Amritsar as tens of Congress workers have been implicated in false cases after the election results,” he said, while adding, he expected Jaitley to clarify his stand on the issue. Amarinder added he expected a better political approach and attitude from Jaitley towards his political opponents.
