Punjab Congress legislature Party chief Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday demanded longer session of the State Assembly beginning March 8 that would end on March 22.

The congress party wanted to take up important issues like increasing number of farmers suicides and Farm workers, atrocities on Dalits, law and order in Punjab, unemployment among the youth of Punjab, drugs problem, sand and gravel issue, closure of industrial units in Punjab, stopping of welfare schemes for the minorities, education system, job outsourcing and promises which were made by the SAD-BJP in their election manifesto.
