Amid the row over name of Chandigarh International Airport, Haryana Finance Minister, Capt Abhimanyu on Monday lashed out at SAD-BJP Government in Punjab saying that if Punjab is so keen on claiming Chandigarh Airport in Mohali as its own, it should hand over Chandigarh to Haryana and make Mohali its Capital. Capt while talking to the mediapersons in Rohtak said that the international airport established in Chandigarh is an initiative of the Central Government and Chandigarh is also the Capital of Haryana. The naming of the Chandigarh airport has remained a bone of contention over the past several years with the Governments of Punjab and Haryana not being in agreement. While it was decided that the airport should be named after Bhagat Singh, the Centre is yet to take a decision. However, the hoardings put up by Punjab Government calling the airport as Mohali International Airport has stirred a fresh controversy.
