Following the worst violence in five decades of Haryana’s existence earlier this year under the rule of BJP led Haryana Government, the Central party leadership on Thursday sought feedback of Manohar lal Khattar’s Government from various State leaders.
With BJP-led State Government completing around two years in Haryana, Shiv Prakash, national joint general secretary (organisation), reviewed the performance of the Government in a series of meeting held here.
The series of meetings were held with State MlAs, Cabinet Ministers, State MPs and BJP core group, where the senior BJP leader sought the feedback of the performance of first BJP Government in the State and also enquired about party’s image among people of various communities after February’s violent Jat agitation.
BJP’s incharge of Haryana affairs Anil Jain and Chief Minister Manohar lal also attended the meetings.
During various meetings which concluded late Thursday evening, Shiv Prakash also enquired about the status of various central and State Government’s schemes.
A senior party leader said that Shiv Prakash has asked the State leaders to strengthen the organisation at grassroot level and to rebuild public faith in the Government. He has asked the MlAs to meet people on regular basis to redress their grievances.
Shiv Prakash has also asked the MlAs to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 as ‘sewa divas’ and hold events of social service in their
constituencies.
BJP led Haryana Government will complete its two years tenure in October this year. The 62-year-old Manohar lal Khattar had taken oath as the first Chief Minister of the BJP Government in the State on October 26 in 2014.
