Centre, Haryana Govt failed on all fronts, says Surjewala

Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala on Sunday lashed out at both the Union and Haryana Governments of the BJP, asserting that they have failed on all fronts and no section of the society was happy with their performance.

“The BJP Governments have failed the people of Haryana and the country. The people are so annoyed and angry with the BJP that they are desperately waiting for the elections to oust them from the power,” Surjewala said while addressing a workers meeting at Pundri in Kaithal.

He said that the people of Haryana are suffering due to the ‘Anadi (inept) and U-turn Sarkar’, whose cabinet reverts its decision every other day as it is unaware of its policy decisions and their implications.

While taking a dig on internal feud in INlD and BJP Government, Surjewala said that Khattar Government is a U-turn Government and INlD is having open clash between ‘uncle and the nephew’.

He described the INlD as ‘B’ team of BJP, whose leaders speak of taking up public issues but whenever it comes to voicing the issues against the Union Government they just get away as INlD abstained from voting on the ‘No Confidence Motion’ in Parliament.

Surjewala, an MlA from Kaithal said that the people of Haryana have made up their minds to bless Congress in the impending State assembly elections.

He announced that all the farm loans up to Rs 1 lakh given to farmers having land holdings of less than 3-4 acres, landless agricultural labourers, and the poor would be waived off by the Congress Government.

While advocating the farm loan waiver to Haryana farmers and landless poor, Surjewala said that the State Government is not providing the MSP and due rates to farmers for their produce.

The Government has failed to provide even officially announced minimum support prices for various crops. The debt relief is urgently required for providing interim relief to farm economy based Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and Small shopkeepers, he said.

Criticizing the Union and Haryana Governments for not waiving off farm loans, Surjewala said that the anti-farmer face of BJP stands exposed. He reminded that the UPA government had waived off Rs 72,000 crore farm loans in year 2009.
