To recall the achievements and stories of courage of people of the state, Haryana Government has directed the officers of Development and Panchayats Department to compile all ‘gram gathas’ inscribed on ‘Gaurav Patts’ in villages in the form of district-wise ‘Gaurav Patt Patrika’ or coffee table book.
Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister, OP Dhankar on Wednesday issued the directions while presiding over review meeting of the Department held here.
He said that the scheme to erect ‘Gaurav Patts’ had been launched with an objective of making the youth aware about the freedom fighters, recipients of Victoria Cross and other Gallantry Awards, and other prominent personalities with outstanding performance in sports, education and other fields, belonging to their native villages.
