Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Anurag Thakur on Thursday lashed out at Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and demanded his resignation.

Addressing a press conference here, BJYM president Anurag said that Virbhadra and his wife MP Pratibha Singh has managed to get unsecured loan of Rs 3.90 crore from an individual and an inquiry by Central Bureau of Investigation should be ordered into this. Demanding the resignation of Virbhadra Singh, Anurag said that a loan of Rs 1.50 crore was taken in the name of Pratibha Singh and Rs 2.40 crore in the name of Virbhadra from a person named Vakamulla Chander Sekhar

Anurag said that Virbhadra should give explanation to the public about his links to Vakamulla… Why this amount was taken from him and where the said amount was spent… What was the need for Virbhadra Singh and Pratibha Singh to take such a huge loan… and Who is this Vakamulla,” he questioned. He alleged that the Congress Ministers are involved in corruption cases and corruption is rampant in not only Himachal Pradesh but in the country due to Congress. Scams like 2G, CWG, Helicopter scam, Coalgate and many more have already come to light during UPA’s tenure, he added.

The BJYM president added that the youth wing would soon launch a protest against the ruling party across the nation and reach out to the people to spread awareness about UPA’s scams. About the youth membership drive by BJYM, he added that the party has received an overwhelming response from across the country during its drive.
