Continuing their protest against local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal, Chandigarh BJP on Sunday organized a protest meeting at War Memorial, Sector 3 here and demanded that Bansal should resign from the membership of lok Sabha of Chandigarh as he has lost confidence of city residents.
Sanjay Tandon, president BJP Chandigarh said Bansal should apologize to the public of Chandigarh as he has lost the confidence of general public and Chandigarh in particular.
Also, after CBI enquiry, action should be taken against Bansal and he should immediately resign for the membership of lok Sabha Chandigarh. The party also organized protest against Bansal in Sector 26 in the evening. Besides, the Mahila Morcha unit of the local party protested against Bansal in Sector 37, where a street play was organized to showcase the corrupt practices in Congress led UPA’s tenure.
Ex-Rail Minister should apologise: SP Jain
The BJP while criticising the highly derogatory and threatening language used by the former Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal with the media persons in Chandigarh on Sunday, has demanded that the Bansal should tender an unqualified apology for the same.
Satya Pal Jain, former city MP and BJP national incharge of the legal & legislative Cell said, “Bansal himself is responsible for whatever has come in the media during the last few days about the Railway scam.”
Jain said that the so called ‘show’ organized by Chandigarh MP proved to be a ‘Flop Show’, which infact was organized by him to divert the attention of the people from the Railway scam.
He said that except a few Congress leaders, everybody else in Chandigarh maintained a long distance from this ‘Flop Show’.
The party again demanded that Central Bureau of Investigation should interrogate Bansal and all the accused of this scam be sent to Jail.
