Aimed at ensuring success of “Jail Bharo Andolan” to be held on June 23 in the city, the BJP is making active use of social networking websites.
The party has invaded the social networking platforms like Facebook and Twitter to request the city residents especially youth to join the party’s protest against UPA on June 23.
The party leaders have posted information and illustrations of their upcoming campaigns on the social networking websites.
The protest would be initiated at Sector 7,8,18,19 and the local leaders alongwith hundreds of party workers will give court arrest to protest against UPA.
In a meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chandigarh BJP president Sanjay Tandon, the party’s youth wing was directed to leave no stone unturned to drew in large number of youth during the protest.
The party president also directed the party workers to use social networking websites effectively to reach to large number of residents about their campaign.
The protest on June 23 would be organized against corrupt practices and corrupt leaders of UPA I and II.
