The BJP on Thursday demanded an immediate investigation into the transfers, promotions, new appointments in various posts of Railways from the time when local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal took over as Railway Minister last year.
While protesting against Bansal in Sector 17 on Thursday evening, the party demanded that an investigation should be done into this as more scams like Rail Gate may come to light.
The senior BJP leader Satya Pal Jain said, “With the arrest of Bansal’s nephew, Rail Board Bribery Scam has come to light. There may be more such cases. Hence, an inquiry should be marked into the transfers, promotions, new appointments in various posts of Railways after Bansal took over as Railway Minister last year.
Meanwhile, the BJP senior leaders including Chandigarh BJP chief Sanjay Tandon, Satya Pal Jain, Harmohan Dhawan and all BJP councillors gathered in Sector 17 protesting against Bansal and seeking his resignation from the Cabinet Ministry.
