BJP creating hurdles in AICC Chief's C'garh prog: Punia

Staff Reporter

Chhattisgarh In-charge of All India Congress Committee (AICC), P.l. Punia, charged the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in the State for trying to create hurdles in the programme scheduled for AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi on May 17-18 in the State.

Terming the impediments made by State Government as ‘cheap’, the AICC In-charge said “how could they (Government) deny permission for organising road show of our leaderIJ”

“When their (BJP) leaders are free to go on the roads proposed for the AICC Chief, how could they deny permission to us” he questioned.

Commenting on invitation of Chief Minister Raman Singh to AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi to witness development in the State, Punia said they have already apprised their leader about it.

The situation of the state is well known to him (AICC Chief) as the State leaders have already informed him about the deteriorated condition, he said.

Notably, the Congress party had alleged that the State Government did not pay attention to their application regarding allotment of ground for conducting Jan Adhikar Rally in Pendra.

Apart from it, the State Government had convened meeting of Panchayat representatives the same day where Rahul Gandhi is addressing Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan’s Silver Jubilee Zonal Convention, the party charged.
