Banyan Tree School was abuzz with activity on Teacher’s Day. Students of the school showed their gratitude towards teachers on Teachers Day by organising a cultural programme on the theme “You have made a difference”.
The day commenced with a soulful prayer recited by students of the school which was followed by eloquent speeches delivered by some students on the occasion. The devotional dance sequence -Guru Vandana, performed by class V students left everyone mesmerized as much as the recitation of the poem- “Jaadugar Sir” garnered rave reviews. The dance performances by Rajinder (class XII) and that by class VI students entertained the audience.
The event also included performances by the primary section like the recitation of the English poem — “A Teacher for all Seasons” and the Hindi poem — “Teacher ji”. The cultural events concluded with a melodious rendition of the theme song-“You have Made a Difference” by students of classes IX and X. The teachers were treated to a sumptuous lunch and given interesting titles coined by students. The principal in his speech talked about the role of the teachers in shaping the future of students and congratulated everyone on putting up a great show.
