The procurement of Bajra in Haryana will start from October 1, for which the government has targeted to procure nearly one lakh tonnes of Bajra this year.
The State Government has decided to procure Bajra crop of only those farmers who will submit their crop registration documents in the mandis.
Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Karan Dev Kamboj on Thursday said that the Central Government has increased the minimum support price of Bajra under which the government would take appropriate steps to stop the sale of Bajra by farmers of Rajasthan and other states in Haryana and to stop black marketing done by merchants.
Kamboj said that the farmers should get their Bajra crop registration done in the Agriculture Department of their respective areas, so that they do not face any difficulty during the selling of their crop.
