The Punjab Government has initiated the process of integration of Bureau of Agriculture Extension and Development (BAED) with the State Agriculture Department to have focused approach to deal with diversification of agriculture initiatives.
Spokesperson of the agriculture department said that the State Government is committed to provide all facilities to the farmers under Bureau of Agriculture Extension on the basis of Bureau of Investment Extension in the State.
“To give further fillip to the farming sector in the State, the Bureau would provide all the facilities to the farmers for developing agriculture as a far more remunerative preposition,” he said.
likewise, this Bureau would also act as a catalyst for research and design activities in agriculture besides promoting new farm practices on scientific lines in the State.
The Bureau will provide a channel to the farmers so that they can communicate with the State Government regarding agriculture issues and farmers can access all the benefits, schemes and programs.
