Badal Govt hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs by film Char Sahibzade, says AAP

PNS

Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday alleged that the Badal Government has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikhs by making political use of the religious film Char Sahibzade. At the same time, extending firm support to the woman officer, the party condemned the state government’s decision to transfer her when she objected use of the movie in Akalis’ ‘propaganda vans”.

“Once this honest woman officer objected to the blasphemous act of Badals, she was immediately transferred by them,” said AAP MP from Sangrur and party’s state Poll Campaign Committee chairman Bhagwant Mann, while terming it as highly ‘condemnable and deplorable’.

A Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) Baljit Kaur Dhillon was transferred to the state headquarters after she objected to SAD leaders’ picture with Char Sahibzade (a movie on four sons of Guru Gobind Singh) on vans used for the screening of movie with the same name. She had raised an objection through a Facebook post. The pictures were displayed on vans used in the screening of the movie at Burajmuhar village by the Public Relations Department recently.

Mann said that the Badals should understand now that people are fed up with them and they don’t want to come into any trap laid by them. “Now, Akalis are attempting to attract people on the pretext of showing them religious movie Char Sahibzade…Is it not an act of hurting religious sentiments of the Sikhs by Akalis, who are using religion for political gainIJ” asked Mann.
