Badal demands probe into Vadra land deals by sitting SC judge

PNS
Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Monday sought a high-level probe by sitting Supreme Court Judge in all land deals especially in Congress-ruled States of Haryana and Rajasthan of Vadra family.
He said that daily new revelations of undue enrichment of Vadra family from certain land deals had made it imperative for such a probe.
“Vadra, son-in-law of first family of India, exploited his position and a probe is must to know that how his wealth grew from few lakhs to multi thousands crores without a single penny investment by Vadras,” said Sukhbir after laying foundation stones of development works worth Rs 600 crore.
Responding to queries regarding revelation of murky land deal of Robert Vadra, Sukhbir said that he just wanted to know what magic stone Robert Vadra was having that whatever land he purchased in any Congress ruled state turn into gold within few months.
“It is imperative for UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to come clean on this and immediately ordered an enquiry by sitting Supreme Court Judge to bring the truth before the public,” said Sukhbir. He added that NDA demands a white paper on disproportionate appreciation of Vadra’s wealth during last few years. Reacting upon halted mining operations in the state, Sukhbir said that it was the “gift” of Congress-led UPA Government to the general public of country as the UPA was deliberately created scarcity of sand and gravels by artificially increasing the rates of sand-gravels. At the same time, he assured that within few months, the rates of sand and gravel would come down.
