Australian High Commissioner in India Harinder Sidhu on Tuesday called on Punjab Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa and discussed core issues of mutual interest like financial management, investment promotion, education, immigrants and agriculture.
Dhindsa said Australia and Punjab shared lot of common interest in the fields of agriculture, education and immigration.
The Australian dignitary showed keen interest in understanding various models adopted by the State of Punjab for financial management and investment promotion. Both sides agreed the financial as well as the cultural ties must be strengthened further.
Sidhu also extended an invitation to the Finance Minister Dhindsa to visit Australia.
