Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Sunday said that the inquiry into the alleged re-allotment of a plot to Associated Journals limited (AJl) has been sent to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
“It has been decided in-principle to send the case to CBI,” he said while talking to the mediapersons on the sidelines of ‘All India State Human Rights Commissions Meet’ held here.
On being asked to comment on increasing the powers of Haryana State Human Rights Commission, the Chief Minister said that the process is going on in this direction.
While speaking at the meet earlier, the Chief Minister exhorted legal luminaries engaged in safeguarding human rights of the people to also make them aware of their duties and responsibilities.
While advocating the precept of live and let live, the Chief Minister said that fear of the law alone could not help create a civilized society. "We have always laid stress on the principle of Sarvajan Hitay Sarvajan Sukhay. I consider the entire 2.5 crore people of the state as my family, and it is my responsibility to work for their welfare", he added.
