The Haryana Government is now likely to compile the assessment reports of crop damage from various districts by April 20. Earlier, the Government had asked to complete this by April 15. Additional Chief Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management Department Dalip Singh on Wednesday said that the Government expects the reports of crop damages by April 20. All the deputy commissioners were directed to complete special assessment exercise by April 15.
For smooth and transparent disbursement of relief to the affected farmers, Haryana Government has constituted committees of senior officers. He added that instructions are being issued to all the DCs for smooth and transparent procedure. Emergency and control room has been made operational at head quarter for monitoring the status of assessment exercise and relief distribution.
