All saving bank account holders of Haryana State Coop. Apex Bank (HARCOBANK) as well as District Central Coop. Banks under Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana would now get insurance benefit of Rs2 lakh each. A scheme will be launched by the Centre from June 1 in this regard, said Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation Bikram Singh Yadav on Monday.
He said that the beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana would have to pay Rs330 per year. In this scheme, all saving bank account holders of the Bank between the age of 18 to 50 years, whose accounts are Aadhar linked would be covered. In case of death due to any reason, the nominee or legal heir would be entitled for Rs 2 lakh.
Similarly, under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, the beneficiary would have to pay a nominal premium of Rs12 per year. All saving bank account holders of the Bank between the age of 18 to 70 years whose accounts are Aadhar linked would be covered. In case of death due to accident or disability, the nominee or legal heir would be entitled for Rs2 lakh.
