Senior Akali leader and lok Sabha member from Sri Anandpur Sahib, Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra has demanded from Centre to suspend Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia and impose President’s Rule in the State.

Chandumajra, in a statement issued on Sunday said Akal Takht was Sikh’s supreme temporal seat and no Sikh could ever ignore the directions of Akal Takht. “Sikhs of Haryana will never let conspiracies of Haryana’s Congress Government against Sikh Panth to be successful and will oppose such move,” he said.

Recently, Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia had given his assent to HSGPC Bill 2014, thus, paving the way for the creation of a separate gurdwara management body for the Sikhs of Haryana. Claiming that the HSGPC Bill 2014 passed by Haryana assembly was illegal and unconstitutional, he said Congress leaders were creating confusion among Sikhs to fulfil their vested interests.

He informed that SAD (B) and SGPC would hold a gathering of Sikh sangat at Sector 27, Chandigarh on July 22 in protest against HSGPC. On the same day, a

gathering of Sikhs had been convened at Gurdwara Manji Sahib in Golden Temple complex to chalk out future course of action against formation of HSGPC, he said.
