OP Dhankar, national president of BJP Kisan Morcha on Thursday said the Morcha has convened a meeting of the national executive body on June 7 and June 8 in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Dhankar said for the past ten years, the Morcha has been fighting for the rights of farmers.
Now the time has come to draft policies on these issues. The NDA has extended its complete support to the cause of farmers. Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh will talk to 3,000 farmers of in Bahadurgarh on June 7. Haryana farmers are the first ones he will be interacting with at Gajraj Hotel in Bahadurgarh. The BJP leader said the Morcha’s demand for implementing Swaminathan commission’s recommendation of 50 per cent profit on the price of crop has found resonance in large number. The BJP even promised it in its election manifesto and is now implementing it.
