After Jind bypoll victory, BJP rewards its loyalists with lucrative posts

PNS

After its thumping victory in Jind bypoll held in January, the ruling BJP has rewarded two party leaders with lucrative government posts in Haryana.

BJP leaders Tek Ram Kandela and Jawahar Saini, who were main aspirants from the BJP to contest the bypoll but were denied party ticket, have been appointed as  chairman of Haryana State Cooperative Labour and Construction Federation Limited (Labour fed) and Haryana Forest Development Corporation respectively.

BJP’s Krishan Middha had won the Jind assembly seat, trouncing his nearest rival Jannayak Janta Party’s Digvijay Chautala by over 12900 votes in the bypoll.

Tek Ram Kandela, head of Kandela Khap in Jind and senior BJP leader Jawahar Saini had earlier protested against the candidature of Krishan Middha. But the saffron party had managed to appease them as both leaders had later extended their support to Krishan Middha.

Kandela Khap is said to have an influence in more than 25 villages in the Jind Assembly segment. The appointments made on Wednesday are being seen as rewards handed over to these two leaders as they extended their support to the BJP and ensured party’s maiden victory in Jind assembly segment.
