Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MlA and the leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha Sukhpal Khaira on Monday asked the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to reveal the names of Congress MlAs or their near and dear ones, allegedly involved in illegal mining and goonda tax collection.
Khaira, who visited the Bathinda oil refinery, said: “Now that the cat has come out of the bag during the previous cabinet meeting where Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa directly pointed a finger towards his colleague Manpreet Badal accusing his brother-in-law of collecting goonda tax from the contractors of Bathinda oil refinery, the onus of revealing names of all such politicians lies with the Chief Minister.”
He said that it was also reported that Capt Amarinder, during the cabinet meeting, called up the DGP Suresh Arora ordering him to take strict action against all such violators. “In other words, the Chief Minister is fully aware and seized of the names of all Congress MlAs, politicians and their relatives involved in the sleazy trade of goonda tax collection and illegal mining,” claimed Khaira
