Alleging conspiracy by the SAD-BJP alliance in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday said that its leaders will meet Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Suresh Arora on Monday in connection with the desecration of the Quran in Malerkotla town.
AAP MlA from Mehrauli in Delhi Naresh Yadav, who has been booked by Punjab Police in the desecration case, and party’s national leader and Punjab party affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh will meet the DGP.
Yadav was booked in the case after main accused Vijay claimed that he was paid Rs one crore by Yadav to do so.
“We will meet Punjab DGP at 10 am on July 4 in connection with the Malerkotla case. The people of Punjab understand the dirty politics of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) alliance and will give a befitting reply to them,” Singh tweeted.
AAP leaders have all along been maintaining that the ruling alliance in Punjab was hatching conspiracies ahead of the 2017 assembly polls. “The Badals have cooked up a false case. If the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and the VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) worked at the behest of Naresh Yadav, then he (Yadav) is working for (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi and (BJP chief) Amit Shah,” said Singh.
