AAP - amalgamation of disgruntled, discarded, desperate politicians: SAD

PNS

The Shiromani Akali Dal on Saturday said that Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) announcement of over half the party’s candidates for Punjab elections  slated early next year clearly reveals that AAP is a amalgamation of disgruntled, discarded and desperate politicians who have just landed on party bandwagon to realise their political ambitions.

The SAD spokesman and senior minister Daljit Singh Cheema said that now it has become evident that AAP’s bunch of self seekers is neither motivated by any ideology nor commitment to serve people but was looking for self interest and self aggrandizement.

Of the 61 candidates announced so far, one fourth are those who had been shown the door by our party or had been in Congress. Some have shifted from Bahujan Samaj Party while others changed their party loyalties repeatedly but failed to gather any political mass in their long career. Some party-less leaders of Manpreet Badal’s defunct and demised party too have thrown their lot with AAP, said Cheema.

He said that since their respective parties had indicated that they won’t be accommodated as candidates for their poor performance, these rejected and frustrated ones have joined AAP to try their luck.

“Since these deserters left their parent party with ease, what was the guarantee that these turn coats would change sides if luck did smile on them again”, argued Cheema adding that why people would support them when they have already tried, and tested and rejected and their parent parties are reluctant to touch them with bargepole.

The mere announcement of the names of these obsessive turn-coats have shredded the AAP claims of a party for new politics advocated through its tagline “ Sada Punjab, Nawan Punjab ”.  The rotten eggs from other parties are least suited to usher in new era which the AAP leaders preaches and professes, he added.
