Haryana Police has conducted a series of coordinated raids as a part of special drive ‘Operation Akraman’ to arrest criminals, proclaimed offenders, bail jumpers and to unearth illicit arms and liquor as well as narcotic substances throughout the state. In this special drive, 494 FIRs were registered and 682 accused were arrested under relevant sections of IPC, NDPS and Arms Act. The drive was carried out to put a check on illegal weapons, put the criminals and anti-social elements behind bars and eradicate the drug menace from the state.
