Union Bank takes steps to recover NPA
Chandigarh: Union Bank of India, Regional office Chandigarh is conducting campaign “ RIN Mukti Abhiyan” for recovery of NPA accounts in their branches from Dec 20 to 29. As a part of campaign, Suresh Teli (Deputy General Manager) conducted a special meeting with bank staff and NPA customers highlighting the importance of campaign and talked to customers for repayment of dues. The main motive of this campaign is to give a chance to customers wherever they are to get their accounts settled and take maximum benefit of this golden opportunity to get their past dues cleared.
Chd traffic police drive against drunken driving
Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Traffic Police is conducting a special drive against drunken driving in the city by organizing nakas using breath analyzers on different locations near pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants and hotels. For community participation, traffic marshals are also present at these nakas. On December 24, Traffic Police organized special nakas in the city at various places to check drunken driving and booked 93 offenders for the violation and their vehicles were also impounded. Challan documents have been forwarded to the District Court for further legal proceedings. During 2017, up to December 24, as many as 6,292 offenders have been booked for the violation of drunken driving.
