TERM OF JUSTICE DHINGRA COMMISSION ENDS
Chandigarh: The term of Commission of Enquiry headed by Justice SN Dhingra (Retd) has come to an end with immediate effect from August 31, 2016. A notification to this effect has been issued by the Chief Secretary. The Commission was constituted vide notification dated May 14, 2015 and further amended vide notification dated August 18,2015 to inquire into the issues concerning the grant of license, for developing colonies by the Department of Town and Country Planning, to some entities in villages Sihi, Shikohpur, Kherki Daula and Sikandarpur Bada in district Gurgaon, Gurgaon and their subsequent transfer or disposal, allegations of private enrichment, ineligibility of the beneficiaries under the rules and other matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.
VIJ TO DEDICATE 67 NEW AMBUlANCES TO PEOPlE
Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij will dedicate 67 new ambulances to the people of the State at Civil Hospital in Panchkula on September 5, 2016. These ambulances have been purchased at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore. Managing Director, Haryana Medical Services Corporation, Dr Amit Agrawal said that MlA Panchkula Gian Chand Gupta and MlA Kalka latika Sharma would be special guests on this occasion. He said that the Government has purchased Maruti Eeco vans to be used as ambulances. These will be fully air conditioned. In comparison to previous ambulances, these would have more space for patient, to keep medicines, oxygen cylinder and other facilities.

HARYANA PlANS TO DEClARE KACHI KHERA PROTECTED SITE
Chandigarh: Haryana Government has a plan to declare ancient historical site of Kachi Khera as protected archaeological site under the “Punjab Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1964”. A spokesman of Archaeology and Museums Department said that a notification to this effect has been issued as this site required protection. He said that the ancient site of Kachi Khera and ancient mound Kachi Khera are in village Garhi Patti, Tehsil Hodal in Palwal District. The site belongs to different cultural phases since painted Greyware to Kushana period. The notification has been issued to invite suggestions and objections within a period of two months.
lT GEN SAHRAWAT TAKES OVER VAJRA CORPS
Jalandhar: lt Gen BS Sahrawat, has taken over as the General Officer Commanding of the prestigious Vajra Corps. He has relieved lt Gen JS Cheema. lt Gen Sahrawat was commissioned in Dec 1980 in 13thBn (REZANG lA), the Kumaon Regiment and commanded the same Regiment in ladakh and during OP Parakram in deserts. The General Officer has commanded a Mountain Brigade at lucknow and an Infantry Division in Meerut. lt Gen BS Sahrawat was the Director General in the land, Works and Environment Directorate in the Army Headquarters prior to assuming command of Vajra Corps.
KHER TO INAUGURATE GREEN BElT
Chandigarh: Kirron Kher, Member Parliament, Chandigarh will inaugurate the Green Belt at Sector 41 A & B on September 3, 2016 at 6.00 P.M. Chandigarh Mayor Arun Sood and Deputy Mayor Hardeep Singh Buterla will also attend the inauguration.
