With an eye on 2019 polls, Aam Aadmi Party has decided to hold meetings in all 90 assembly constituency of Haryana.
“The party will start holding meetings in all assembly constituencies from December 11.” These meetings will conclude within one week,” said Naveen Jaihind, Haryana AAP chief. He said that the meetings are aimed at booth management and chalk out a strategy for door-to-door campaign and strengthen the party at grassroot level in the state.
We will focus on preparing 10 party workers at every booth in Haryana, he added.
Notably, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal is already holding public meetings in all Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana. Kejriwal will conclude his public meetings in all 10 parliamentary constituencies by the end of December.
Such meetings began from Gurugram constituency on November 24.
The party has planned to contest on all 10 Lok Sabha seats from Haryana and also, on all 90 assembly seats, election for which are due later next year.
With Haryana’s proximity to AAP ruled Delhi and the state being Arvind Kejriwal’s home state, the AAP leaders feel that the party can benefit from various factors including a political vacuum in Haryana at present.
Aiming a win in Haryana, Kejriwal is hard selling his AAP led Delhi Government’s achievements in the field of education and health sectors to the voters of Haryana.
