The apex body of central public sector units Scope on Tuesday said Ved Prakash has been elected as its new chairman. Prakash is also CMD of Government-run trading firm MMTC ltd. RK Bahuguna has been elected as Vice Chairman of Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (Sscope). The new executive board of Sscope will assume office from April 1, it said in a statement. The ballot papers received from Constituent PSEs for the Scope Elections 2017-19 for Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Members of the Scope Executive Board were counted and results were declared on Tuesday in the presence of authorised representatives from PSEs and Contestants.
