Stocks of top telecom service provider companies have jumped significantly in the month of April. While Bharti Airtel’s shares gained 8.5 per cent and Idea Cellular 13.2 per cent, those of Reliance Communication surged 75.66 percent.
After a spat of negative news and consequent poor business environment Reliance Jio provided telecom sector with a fresh lease of life. Meanwhile, a consortium of global telecom majors, including Reliance Jio Infocomm and Vodafone, signed an agreement for constructing the Bay of Bengal Gateway submarine cable system.
