Planning Commission on Wednesday approved Rs4,100 crore annual plan for Himachal Pradesh for the current fiscal. This is a hike of almost 11 per cent higher than the outlay for 2012-13.
After the meeting Commission's Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia said the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth rate of Himachal Pradesh during 11th Plan was 8.1 per cent which is almost equal to national average of 8 per cent.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh demanded provision of 90:10 funding pattern in all centrally sponsored schemes at par with other special category states of North-Eastern regions and demanded the extension of central industrial package till 2020.
