Aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of promoting indigenous manufacturing through the ‘Make in India’ initiative and bolstering India’s food processing infrastructure, a significant development is on the horizon. A two-day dry fruit exhibition called MEWA 2024 will take place in Delhi. Scheduled for the 16th and 17th of February, MEWA 2024 marks a milestone as the inaugural exposition of its kind in India. Organized under the auspices of Nuts & Dryfruit Council of India, the two-day trade meet will witness participation from over 200 exhibitors representing more than 20 countries, including the USA, Australia, UAE, Chile, Iran, Oman, Argentina, and Afghanistan.
This event serves as a pivotal moment for the nuts and dry fruit trade in India, with a focus on bringing together industry stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities and leverage the collective strength of the sector. MEWA 2024 aims to provide a platform for Indian buyers, sellers, and industry leaders to engage with international counterparts, highlighting India’s growing significance in the global trade landscape for nuts and dry fruits.
Initiated by the Nuts & Dryfruit Council of India (NDFCI), MEWA 2024 seeks to consolidate India’s fragmented nuts and dry fruit trade under one unified voice. By fostering collaboration and cooperation among industry players, the event endeavors to unlock the full potential of India’s rapidly expanding market, benefiting all stakeholders involved.
