PNS

Maruti Suzuki India on Thursday said as many as 20,427 units of its premium crossover model S-Cross need possible replacement of a faulty brake part and announced a ‘free service campaign’ to rectify the problem.

Without terming it a recall, the company said in a statement that the vehicles which need possible replacement of the faulty brake part were manufactured between April 20, 2015 and February 12, 2016.

“The service campaign applies to both the S-Cross variants (DDiS200 and DDIs320). The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost,” it said.

Owners of the impacted vehicles will be contacted by dealers.
