Beverage giant Coca Cola on Tuesday said its volume growth in India increased by six per cent in the third quarter ended September 30, 2013 compared with just one per cent growth in the previous quarter.

The company attributed volume growth in India to “focus on execution amidst normalised weather”.The company said it gained volume and value share in India in non-alcoholic ready to drink beverages (NARTD) as well as in sparkling (carbonated) and still (non carbonated) beverages in the quarter.

In India, sparkling beverage volume growth in the quarter was led by brand Coca-Cola, up 22 per cent, and driven by strong integrated marketing campaigns and continued expansion of packaging choices to consumers, Coca Cola said in a statement.
