BSES, MCD to promote ‘Green Crematoriums’
New Delhi: BSES touches all aspects of peoples’ lives, including in their final journey. In a move to foster eco-friendly cremation practices, BSES is promoting ‘green crematoriums’. In partnership with the MCD, it has facilitated the installation of an electric furnace at the civic body’s Sarai Kale Khan crematorium. The move aims to promote a shift towards ‘green crematoriums’, facilities that use cleaner, more sustainable technologies for cremations. Apart from this, doing its bit to give dignity to the last journey of departed soul and to provide ease to the bereaved family during the last rites, BSES has also been renovating selected crematoriums. Over the years, it has spruced-up and renovated over 10 crematoriums in South and West Delhi and has also provided facilities like Benches, Chairs, Exhaust Fans, Fans, Water Tanks, Dustbins etc.
Securenow insurance crosses `200 threshold mark
New Delhi: The insurance broking company SecureNow Insurance Broker Pvt. Ltd. crossed the `200 crore premium threshold during FY23, marking a major milestone in the growth of the company. The company focuses on selling commercial insurances to SMEs and mid-market clients, and has built an end-to-end insurtech platform that currently serves 40,000 small businesses across 150 locations. The firm aims to increase this to over one million businesses within the next three years.
