The Department of English, Ravenshaw University, established in 1922, would hold its centenary celebration on September 3.
“The function will be held in collaboration with the Alumni Association,” informed department’s Prof Kamal Prasad Mahapatra while speaking to The Pioneer. The journey of the department has been eventful. It began imparting UG programme in 1916 and PG programme in 1922 on receiving a generous endowment sum from Queen of Sonepur.
Dr Mahapatra has requested all reporters of print and electronic media of the twin city to a Press Meet to be held in the PG Department of English at 4 pm.
