The Yuva Utkal Bharat (YUB) organised a remembrance programme to mark the Shaheed Diwas at Red Cross Bhavan on Saturday.
On this very day in 1931 Bhagat Singh, Jai Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged by the Britishers in the lahore jail. Utkal Bharat president Kharabela Swain said living for the country is more important than dying for it and the youth mass must live and strive for a noble social cause. Journalist Surendra Patra also addressed the gathering.
The YUB felicitated journalists Chakradhara Behera, Manoranjan Mishra and Anurodha Mishra and Odissi dancers Sonali Mohapatra and Pranati Swain for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields.
