In a noble effort, a group of youths from the capital city have launched a campaign ‘DAB-Donate a Blanket’ to provide relief to homeless people here from cold. As part of the campaign, they are visiting door-to-door in different localities to collect blankets and other winter peripherals.
To further encourage the donation, the team will hold a public donation event near the Ram Mandir here on Sunday from 2.30 pm to 6pm.
It has appealed the public to participate in large numbers to make the campaign successful.
“Some might enjoy the bone-chilling winter, but all are not blessed with winter clothes in this city. There are some people, who have no basic amenities for their living and spend their night on streets,” said a member of the team.
