The Balanga police in Puri district on Wednesday took two persons to detention in connection with the suspected killing of a young man of Bhanapur village on Tuesday night.
As per a complaint lodged by Rabi Narayan Mohanty, his brother Biranchi Nayaran Mohanty (36) was pushed from a rooftop to death by one Badal Mohanty of his village.
Rabi mentioned that Badal had telephoned him at 2 am on Tuesday informing that he has locked his brother Biranchi as he forcible entered into his house and abused him. He soon advised Badal to inform the police. But two hours after at 4 am, Badal again called him over phone and informed that Biranchi committed suicide by jumping from his building roof.
Then, Rabi along with villagers reached the spot where Biranchi was lying dead. They informed the police station. OIC Pravat Sahoo rushed to the village and sent the body to Puri DHH for post-mortem.
