The Rajnagar police on Friday arrested Laxman Rout (23) of Dakhina Veda village for posting nude photo of his former girlfriend in social media.IIC Tapan Kumar Nayak informed that Laxman committed the crime after the victim turned down his marriage proposal. Recently, Laxman had managed to break the marriage proposal of the victim by sending the nude photo of the girl to her fiance.
However, later he posted the photos in social media. Based on the FIR of the victim, the Rajnagar police registered a case, arrested Laxman and produced him before the JMFC court under various sections of IPC; Section 6 of POCSO Act and Section 67 of IT Act. He was remanded in jail custody after the court rejected his bail plea.
