A 28-year-old youth was forwarded to court by the Bargaon police here on Monday morning for allegedly raping a married woman. The woman, aged around 32, resides with her husband at Raedihi village. On February 27, her husband had gone to lelepada village to attend a marriage party.
Taking advantage of the situation, one Rohit Kishan knocked the door of the woman’s house at around 10 pm. When she opened it, Kishan entered the house and raped her. The victim narrated the story to her husband on the next day following which he informed it to the village committee. Having failed in getting justice by the committee, the couple lodged an FIR against Kishan at the Bargaon police station on Sunday. The police arrested Kishan and sent both the accused and victim for medical examination on Sunday, said Bargaon PS ASI SK Nayak.
