A youth who was reportedly intoxicated hurled stones at the car of Dr Narendra Behera of the MKCG Medical College and Hospital and broke its glasses soon after Dr Behera parked the car in front of his quarters returning from his duty on Wednesday afternoon.
Being informed about the incident, the BN Pur police reached the spot and arrested Sujit Gouda of Gollapalli Street and registered a case against him. The investigation is on. The reason for the attack, was yet to be ascertained.
In another incident in the city, the Gosaninuagam police recovered the dead body of a newborn baby lying under a bush near the KC High School on Wednesday after getting information from locals.
Many suspected that in view of the improper growth of the child’s body it was a case of premature death. However, the police are investigating into the incident to ascertain the exact cause of the death.
