The Raghunathpur police on Sunday arrested one Sudhakar Mallick of Padmapur village on the charge of abducting a minor girl.
The accused had taken away a Class ten minor girl on May 25 and later after keeping her for a few days dumped her at her village.
The victim’s parents lodged an FIR with police soon since the minor’s disappearance and basing on the FIR and arrival of the victim girl in village, the police acted promptly and arrested the accused and forwarded him to court. Meanwhile, an investigation is on after conducting the medical examination of victim, informed Raghunathpur police station IIC Ranjan Kumar Mallick.
